ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS

FOR OFFICERS AND MEMBERS AT

TRES DIAS INTERNATIONAL SECRETARIAT MEETINGS

We take our commitment to serve as Members and Officers of Tres Dias seriously.  Members and Officers of Tres Dias International Secretariat are expected to attend the three scheduled meetings per year.  If you cannot attend, as soon as possible prior to the meeting, you must notify by phone and email (if possible):

 

  1. The Chairperson of your committee AND
  2. The President of Tres Dias International Secretariat

 

Please note that notifying them of your expected absence does not excuse the absence, but it will allow them to make arrangements for the work of the TD International Secretariat to proceed.

 

Two consecutive absences disqualify a Member or Officer from his/ her elected position.

Tres Dias By-Laws, 6.4.10:

“A member of Secretariat or an Officer automatically excludes himself/herself and is thereby removed from the position he/ she holds on Secretariat after missing two  [2] consecutive meetings, unless there is intervention by the Secretariat.”

 

Possible Intervention Process:

  1. A Secretariat Member/ Officer who has missed two consecutive meetings will be contacted as soon as possible by a designated member of the Administration Committee who will act as an Advocate for the disqualified person.  The Advocate will pray with the person and interview him/ her (a.) regarding the reasons for both consecutive absences and (b.) whether he/ she desires to remain a Member/ Officer of Secretariat.

 

  1. The Advocate will report and make recommendation to the Administration Committee, who will decide whether or not to request intervention by the Secretariat for reinstatement.

 

  1. Intervention may be recommended by the Administration Committee to the entire Secretariat for action if the absences were of an emergency nature, not a choice to place another commitment at a higher priority.
